Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos

We went to the Cala Domingos on a family holiday and it really was lovely. We had a room near the beach which suited us as it was close to the entertainment too. The food was nice albeit a little samey, this stopped me giving the five stars. This hotel is perfect for a relaxing, beachy, family holiday. I would recommend.

Great food and drink Amazing beach No air con in the rooms All rooms are up hill, do not go if you have any mobility or breathing problems. But there is a minibus You have to use the land train or taxi to get anywhere Very busy poolside, all beds taken very early The beach and the food and drink are the best thing about this hotel, we had 4 nights all inclusive, it was lovely.

This resort reminded us of the film Dirty Dancing, the way it was laid out. It was also funny as everyone seemed to be obsessed with watermelons. Great resort, cant fault it in the slightest. It may be a struggle depending where your situated and if you have mobility issues or kids in buggys. Entertainment was one if the best I've ever came across in a resort, magician, contortionist, comedy show, and a kids mini disco at the beginning after dinner. Activities were amazing for all ages, air Rifle shooting, archery, yoga, zumba, dance lessons! Great choice of food, and drinks, so much variety. Staff were all friendly and helpful, thank you!

It's a really nice beach but the rooms are far from everywhere also there is no aircon fan not good enough Not wheelchair friendly however the staff some of them are really great Garazi,Andrea,chocolate,LeBron,Miguel, marian at the reception

I would have given this hotel 5 * but only for the fact that there isn't any air con in the rooms. There is a ceiling fan though. The staff can't do enough for you and are very friendly. The food is excellent and varied. The beach is clean and well maintaned. Two sun beds all day on the beach cost us 12.40 euros. The pool area in the resort is well kept and the female life guard is exceptional at her job. There are ample sun beds around the pool area and on the gardens surrounding the pool and all over the complex. The entertainment staff work so very hard and their smile never slips, I also liked the fact that they do not pester you to take part if you don't want to - they have the approach just right. The drinks are very good and varied also. There are a lot of Spanish, Italian, French and German families there who were all very friendly, we never had a problem at all. I would highly recommend this hotel and think it is worthy of 4 stars not 3.

Nice hotel but a little dated, very relaxing place in nice surroundings. food somewhat repetitive but good quality and well cooked. Nothing to do after the evening meal for adults as the entertainment is poor. Tip. don't get a taxi to the centre its a waste of 20 euros, centre is not a nice place at night.

Just returned from this hotel. Absolutely fantastic! Such good value for money. The food & drink choice was excellent. All alcoholic drinks were inclusive, & after staying at other hotels are limited. Ice cream & slush drinks for children & adults from 10 am to 6pm. All the staff are fabulous the room cleaners, restaurant team, bar team & entertainment team are all very friendly & helpful & really make your holiday. The rooms are set amongst palm trees & olive trees & grassy areas so pretty. Will definitely be required booking to go back. Travelled with my sister & we didn't want to come home

Lovely hotel and food was brilliant. My kids are full plates every day . Beach was stunning . The hotel grounds are beautiful too . I would definitely pay the extra fir the priority rooms and would only return to this hotel if Air Con were to fitted !!

Good food friendly staff hire a take a fan with you .as there is no air con we went in heatwave though.over 40 degrees food was fresh great choice.accidently ate squid didn't taste that bad.fresh fruit plenty of drinks ice creams snacks.beach on doorstep.what more do you want.?aircon.

We booked the hotel because of it's seclusion. I was going to propose to my partner on holiday, but didn't want to risk messing up, so I decided to do it the day before we went. I told the hotel this prior, before we went, so they could maybe have some champagne waiting for her. They were polite and answerd my email and had this waiting with room decorations when we arrived. Then on the second night got a letter saying to bring the ticket to the food hall for a surprise. More champagne and candle lit dinner. Then to end the holiday we got another one of these invites as it was my partners birthday. All staff were polite, and friendly. The food is great. Plenty of choice. Some of the reviewers I've seen must have VERY high expectations because I, a food lover, was never left wanting. The rooms were lovely. No air con but we had a fan which was fine. We paid extra for priority locations. I'm glad we did, but the people complaining about having to walk a long way to the room.... read the description before booking, imbeciles, and avoid this issue. Overall I loved my stay, it was my best holiday I've had with Jet2 and I would go again, this should be a 4 star resort, but I guess no air con in the rooms stops this.

Cannot fault anything about this place. I think it is our 12th visit. From the reception staff Sebastion, Maria and Cristina to the hard working waiters and bar staff nothing is ever to much trouble. They greeted and treated us like old friends. Beach and sea amazing!! fantastic rooms thank you for everything !!!

we stayed at the club tropicana for 10 days and it was amazing. Little bungalows were great and the setting in tropical gardens is fantastic. quality of food was superb and excellent choices. Never met such friendly staff on holiday before from cleaners, bar staff, reception staff, dining room staff and most important of all Miguel and his fabulous entertainment team, these people are amazing.

Booked priority location with jet2, but was allocated room 197 which was half way up the site and within the priority location according to the receptionist. This room was a good 10 minute walk uphill through the site and up quite a few steps (with 2 water pipes strewn across, posing a high trip hazard especially to a 5 year old). Upon entering the room there were stains on the ceiling from a previous leak in the roof, a dirty towel and a colony of ants forming a line up and down the wall in the shower. We returned to reception and found the jet2 rep who was extremely helpful in getting us moved to room 53 which had the children's play area right behind and was a 2 minute walk to the pool. The rooms are basic, the beds are VERY uncomfortable and the ceiling fan can be only be described as better than nothing. Trying to sleep on a hot Spanish night at the height of the season (we resorted to rearranging the room to try and get 3 beds below it. All in all we never really got a good night's sleep with uncomfortable beds and the heat. The walls are artexed which could contain asbestos however I did not waste my time trying to find out if an asbestos report was available. The location of the site was perfect for us on a small, clean beach less than five minutes from our reallocated room. Really enjoyed having a dip in the sea (can't do that in the North Sea). A small town nearby with the usual cheap fancy gifts and cafes worth a visit. Food was acceptable but nothing to write home about. Pizza, pasta and chips available every night with fresh meats. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, with snacks available in between. Spent a lot of time in and around the pool teaching 5 year old daughter to swim. However some older children and even adults thought it OK to use the railings separating the toddlers pool from the main pool as a volleyball net. Resulting in adults having more concern for jumping and falling trying to reach a ball than for a young child floating behind them. The lifeguard had little concern for this and also seemed too busy talking to some young girls by the pool when a water polo player had a case of cramp in the pool. Ps don't get sunbeds near the shallow end of the main pool, as this is where water polo is played and you will be in danger of being hit by a stray ball or 10. All in all it wasn't a great holiday but was OK, just felt we had to make the best of it. Would return to the area but not this site.
