Gavimar Cala Gran Costa Del Sur

Had a few problems with our hotel room when we stayed here, the balcony door didn't lock, the air conditioning puffed out warm air and the shower curtain was too short so the bathroom flooded after having a shower. Whilst the staff were nice they weren't overly helpful when trying to explain the problems and it took a few attempts to get things sorted. We gave up with the shower curtain and just used the towels to mop up the floor. Overall the hotel is comfortable but in no way is it any more than just comfortable. The 3 star plus rating is a bit generous. The entertainment team were great and included everyone in the activities. The food was freshly cooked and there was plenty of it, particularly liked the Paella, the snack foods are not great though. The whole hotel is very clean. One of the pools was not in use for the whole of our stay. The location is great, you couldn't get much closer to the beach and the shops are a short stroll away.

The room was not shown accurately on advertisement. Had an ant infestation on one day. Booked a self catering room that had 2 hobs and NO cooking equipment. Staff were rude/unhelpful when we approached and asked about a cleaner for the ants & to keep our room later in the last day. Had to pay more money on arrival. Overall, the pictures are extremely deceiving.

Great hotel in fantastic location.. All staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a twin room which was cleaned regularly. We went half-board and always found something good to eat. This hotel is as described. For what we paid for holiday can't complain. Well done gavimar

Nice little hotel, very clean and in a great location, staff were very helpful especially in the restaurant, restaurant manager was great! Loved being able to safely walk to the beach with young children. The only disappointment was the length of time it took to check it. There was only one member of staff and then another person arrived but there was a long queue of people, it was late, we were tired and it was very hot in the reception area. Would be nice if this could be better managed, other than that we had a very relaxing time.

The hotel was very clean and the all inclusive menu was amazing with lots of choice. Even our fussy 12 year old found the the choice of foods fabulous !! Good evening entertainment and all the staff were very helpful...we will be going back

a lot of steps to climb . there was a poor choice of food at some meals. the entertainment was boring and very poor. not worth staying for. accomodation was spacious and appropriate but not as clean as could have been

Great location of two hotels that are now part of the same complex, bang opposite the Cala Gran beach. Four pools on site with just about enough sun beds. Restaurant and food were decent, and self service for drinks if all inclusive. Overall, an excellent location in Cala D'Or for families with kids, although I advise an apartment as the room only option is a bit cramped.

Hotel is not disable friendly there is only one bar open during the day which is at one of the pools so if you are staying at the other side of hotel you need to walk over bridge then down stairs even if you want a coffee as there are no other place to get one. The bedrooms are not kept very clean we had to make our bed every night as cleaner only shook up top cover also snacks during day are only hot food or salad no crisps or nuts and they stopped at 5pm

Extremely dated hotel. All inclusive quality of drinks very poor, wine tasted like poison. Not allowed glass for drinks before 7 even though in bar nowhere near swimming pool. Food dreadful, who thinks that poor quality chicken nuggets are suitable for dinner? Breakfast was best meal of the day. Beds uncomfortable, pillows uncomfortable. On the upside staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Really needs a refurb.

This was our second year here and it was just as good as it was last year. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the restaurant food fresh varied and plentiful, we were all inclusive and found loads of different styles and food to choose from. There was fruit a plenty and loads of different drinks. All in all another great holiday, we even got the same room as last year, highly recommend
