Hotel Condesa

We first stayed here in 2019 and was looking forward to our return trip in June 2022. The hotel is clean, perfectly placed on the beach, and the food quality is good. However, that's where the good bits stop. We had no problems in 2019 but our experience in 2022 was terrible. We paid just short of £1000 each for a 1 week stay, and travelled as a family. The bar staff, at the main bar, are so rude, and did not want to serve you. The guy, who appeared to be the bar supervisor, (black waistcoat) was the worst offender, rude beyond belief, to the point that I was going to make a formal complaint. It was only because my Daughter asked me not to, in fear that our holiday would be made worse, that I didn't. I witnessed the same guy shutting the glass access door to the beach on an elderly lady guest, and when she gestured to say what was he doing, he shrugged his shoulders, laughed, and walked off. A fellow guest had to let her back into the hotel terrace. The local spirits (Rum & Vodka) would easily strip the tarmac off the M1, and the only other options were local beer, soft drinks, and Cava. If you want a decent drink, served in a reasonable timescale (15 minutes to take your order, and another 15 for your drinks to arrive!), then you need to head up to the fantastic new Sky Bar, but please be aware that this is not part of your all inclusive, and a Spirit and Mixer will set you back 6.50 euros. If you are a pool lover, then be prepared to get up VERY early to reserve a sunbed. Thankfully we are not, and prefer the beach, probably a good job as at 4.00am every day, people were walking down the corridors to bag their poolside retreat!. For any beach lovers, 2 beds and a brolley was 13.00 euros per day, and you can reserve them at a minimum of 4 days at time. Oh nearly forgot! During our trip in 2019 the main restaurant had a centre island where you could get drinks for the kids, local beer, and house wine as you wished. On this trip, this has been removed and you had to rely on the waiting staff to take your order and bring your drinks. We could be half way through our meal before they arrived. This is a shame as not only has this been removed from the all-inclusive, that we have paid for, but it puts extra pressure on the already pressured waiting staff. Would we come back? Absolutely not! Don't advertise as all-inclusive if you don't want your guests to take advantage of it.
