As well as a golden beach, Esposende also boasts the Cavador River with surrounding natural park. You can stroll along the boardwalk that reaches across the dunes, stop at picturesque lookout points and try to spot the local flora and fauna. If you’re after peace and tranquillity, this is a must.

The place to be for water sports

Surf’s up round these parts, with consistent waves throughout the year. The beach here is rarely crowded so it’s a great spot to give it a go without the crowds. There are a few surf schools too, if you’re a beginner! The water’s cool, so a light wetsuit is recommended.
