Costa Encantada & Water World

The pool area of the hotel is very good and the pool bar staff pleasant. The nearest beach is about 800 meters away across a busy road if you fancy a change from the pool. the hire of two sunbeds and a parasol at the beach is 21 euro. The sand is quite sharp so we did buy water shoes. The little childrens play area at the front of the hotel was nice and we found that all the communal areas were well kept and clean. Our apartment was a little dated and basic but clean. There was maid service everday. We were very pleased that we had an apartment to give us the option to eat in as the restaurant in the hotel was so manic. You needed to queue to get a table and then for the food, we only went in once and we didn't bother after that but we saw the queue every night/morning. The snack bar on the poolside was handy it had take away trays so you could take food out to the poolside or up to the apartment.

was exactly as expected a family friendly all inclusive with some reasonable evening entertainment. Pool areas were great for all ages. We took our granchildren and it met all their expectations. It was not the sort of hotel I would choose for an older couple like ourselves, but I knew that prior to booking, all in all it was what we paid for and would seem churlish to criticise any aspect of it. Location was central with shops etc within easy walking distance,

We stayed here for a week as part of a Jet2 package. We hadn't done packages for many years, but the price was good, and online reviews of the hotel were fine. We weren't disappointed - hotel staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful, from front desk to cleaning to restaurant. Our room was a standard 1-bed apt with separate lounge and kitchen. The bedroom was relatively small, but OK. The kitchen had basic utensils, over/hob, kettle, fridge and freezer. (No washing-up liquid - my only grouse.) The sofas doubled as pull-out beds, I think, and weren't great for sitting unless you have very long legs. We didn't use the oven as we booked half-board; for the price, this was a steal. The restaurant was a buffet, and food was varied and good. My one complaint is that the orange juice came out of a machine and tasted weird - this in a land where oranges grow everywhere! The pool area outside was a good size, and there were hot showers and lockers adjacent to it. The location is quiet at night (unless you have a noisy Spanish family next door, which happened at the weekend). The beach (Fenals) is a 10 minute walk; it's nice enough, but very crowded at weekends. For an extra 20 mins, you can walk to Sa Boadella which is much nicer and quieter (but partially nudist). Both are of gritty sand and quite steep; not very good for small children or timid swimmers generally. Even further is Santa Cristina, which has finer sand and a gentler gradient. If you don't fancy the walk, and don't mind the price, use the Dofi Jet Boats, which are also useful for reaching Canyelles, another nice quieter beach N of Lloret town, or even Tossa 10km N of the town Not to be missed are the Jardins de Santa Clotilde on the headland between Fenals and Boadella - beautiful landscaped gardens in a wonderful natural environment. Sections of the Cami de Ronda (coastal path) are very fine - the bit N of Lloret town in particular - but as part of a longer walk it's spoilt by the periodic "urbanizations" that interrupt it.

it was my first all inclusive holiday and I would strongly recommend it the hotel was fantastic the staff so friendly the food great the kids loved it at the end of the day if the kids are happy you know your in for a good holiday

Excellent choice of food. Very helpful reception staff (especially Gail). Large pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Our only fault was that our apartment was above the disco bar, which was open until midnight, however very noisy until at least one a.m., despite us complaining to the manager.

Hotel lovely food nice staff friendly and they all couldn't do enough for us excellent staff all over. Only 1 complaint incline to the hotel was very steep so no good for people with mobility problems

Absalutly loved it. First time abroad. This hotel was perfect. Food wasnt great bit i am a fussy eater and so is my son. The pool was absalutly amazing and very clean and also the indoor pool is heated so when the pool was abit chilli you could just have a dip in.the indoor one. The staff was very helpful and lovely to speak to.

This hotel is fabulous, great for kids, the swimming pools are great the entertainment during the day was great for the children & the entertainment at night was brilliant aswell. The food was lovely great staff so helpful at meal times coming with water or wine whatever u preferred. Really enjoyable hotel & so clean & tidy

Just returned from 11 nights all inclusive at the Costa Encantada. Six in our party,2 adults, 2 17 year olds,1 14 year old and 1 11 year old. Had a great time, hotel location was excellent, being 15 minutes walk from the nearest beach, 20 minutes walk from the waterpark, and 25 minutes walk from the main lloret beach. Coach transfer was 30 minutes. Hotel itself was spotless, with good facilities and very friendly staff. Biggest plus is the amount of sunbeds and parasols. Always a sunbed available no matter what time of day. This is most definitely a family centric hotel, and is really aimed at families with kids up to about 15 years old. Whilst our kids are still young enough this is a place we will return to.

After reading reviews on the hotel and resort we booked up for our first family holiday in years all inclusive . The hotel was as the reviews said it was clean tidy and well maintained . The food was good for all inclusive but as with this service everyone Is rushing around getting their food . The drinks were local alcohol wise and branded soft drinks but the down side was if you were down by the pool and fancied a cocktail or something different you couldn't get them from the pool bar and had to walk up to the reception bar where there is only one member of staff on . The pool was spotless and well maintained we never rushed down to the pool to get beds on a morning and always got 4 beds together when we eventually got there without having to search all over even when we went out for the day and returned to the pool we found beds easily . The entertainment was great for the kids round the pool and in the disco bar at night and there was entertainment the adults could enjoy aswell but remember it is a family hotel .the beach is only down the road and the centre about 15 mins walk with young kids and has another beach and many shops,bars restaurants etc. All in all my family really enjoyed this stay at the hotel and the resort and would definitely recommend it friends and family or anyone looking for a family holiday and I would stay again in the future .

This is a really, really great hotel. It's located slightly out of the town but within easy walking distance to the shops and beach. The beach is beautiful although the sea gets deep really quickly. It has some great waves too which my kids absolutely loved! It is rough sand though so you really need some beach shoes, otherwise it gets quite uncomfortable underfoot after a while. The hotel was lovely and clean and ideally suited for families. The rooms were great - much bigger than we expected - and the air conditioning was really good. WIFI for four people only cost 15 euros for the week in total. The only negative (and it really is only a slight negative) is that when the restaurant/snack bar is closed, you have to queue at the bar for a drink. There was generally only one person serving and he was really quite grumpy bless him (even the kids commented on how grumpy he was). They could really do with 2 people serving and maybe a smile here and there. The local waterpark is fantastic although it's quite expensive - 33 euros per person over 12. However it really is huge and the rides are incredible. You can buy a return ticket for only 5 euros per person but if you opt for this make sure you buy them in the early afternoon as the queue at the end was really long (everyone has to have a photo taken and a fingerprint for the return visit). We all had a fantastic holiday. Several of the people we spoke to said it was their third and fourth times at the hotel, and we will definitely be going back too.
