Vila Gale Marina

Great location, We were upgraded to a room with a marina view. Hotel was quiet as we went the end of March. Very friendly and helpful staff. They don't provide Tea and coffee in your room, but if you ask at reception they will take a kettle etc up to your room. Good buffet breakfast, we stayed half board and the evening meal was waiter service but the food was really good we were very impressed. Just across the road from the hotel is the bus stop where you can get to Faro or Albufura. We had a lovely 4 night stay and would recommend this hotel.

Second stay in this hotel .. First time on a Golf trip. This time as a couple. Hotel ideally located for the Marina, Bars and Restaurants. Plus within east reach of Albufeira. Breakfast simple but adequate.

Had a wonderful week at villa gale marina, only let down my friend and I couldn't get in the beautiful pool, due to our mobility issues, it just need four or five steps sloping down into pool with a hand rail.

This hotel was in a great location very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly overall experience was excellent, not much entertainment of an evening but we were only there for 5 days and nights

This hotel is in need of a serious update. The reception area has old floor tiles and cheap looking lampshades, definitely not a good first impression. It was very noisy with large golfing parties, we asked for a high floor quiet room which we did have but the noise from the drinking parties around the pool area seemed to reach even the top floor. There was a good choice of food but the quality certainly varied from day to day. There was no entertainment in the evenings, in fact the Hotel was deserted with no atmosphere. It soon became very obvious that this Hotel catered for short stay groups of golfers and not the longer stay holiday maker.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. The hotel is clean and comfortable but certain areas do need an upgrade. Our bathroom was quite old but adequate. Clean bedding and towels were plentiful. I think it's more of a 3* than 4* though. We had breakfast included each day and the continental breakfast and fresh fruit options were very good. However the cooked breakfast was often tepid and this is a big minus point for me as I like my food to be hot. On the first day after standing at the toaster ( takes ages) the rest of my meal was stone cold. Even when I took the food straight to the table at best it was tepid. The bacon was very very strange! No crisp at all. Floppy and chewy. Anyway lots of the golfers ( of which there were many) seemed to enjoy their cooked breakfast every morning so it's personal choice. Couldn't fault the quantity though. We were lucky with our room as we did get the sun on our balcony in the afternoons . Beware though as some rooms/ balconies never saw the sun at all. This would be a minus for me. Lots of golfers in the hotel who congregated in large loud groups. . We didn't particularly mind this but I can imagine this would put some people off. They didn't appear to notice there were other people trying to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. This is not the fault of the hotel but people need to be aware of the large amount of large groups who use the hotel. A plus side is they go out for the day so generally speaking plenty of space by the pool. Great resort, hotel in fantastic position and a great time had so no real grumbles

Good hotel and service, great location and close to all shops and harbour. A great feeling about the place and very friendly staff every where. Did not stay in the hotel in the evenings just as well dont think the entertainment was very good.

Vila Gale Marina Hotel is located 5 mins walk to the marina which has every type of restaurant and bar you could wish for, you could eat in a different bar or restaurant every night of your holiday and return every year for 5 years and maybe you would have eaten in them all (or maybe not !)

We recently stayed in the Vila Gale Marina for a week. While the hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly, we felt the hotel was a bit tired and could be doing with being freshened up. Another downside was the groups of men staying at the hotel over the weekend who seemed to drink all day long. They were very loud and their language was inappropriate in the presence of children.

Very good hotel, centrally located, staff were lovely and food was fresh and plentiful. Room was spacious and clean. Reception staff were very helpful and willing to make your holiday enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel within minutes of the marina and all its bars and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful and standards of cleanliness superb. Breakfast quality and choice was everything I expected and needed - no complaints. The fabric of the hotel and the rooms / bathrooms are excellent quality and well finished. Good range of hotel facilities. I would recommend but watch out for over enthusiastic all male golfing parties if this bothers you. Entertainments team lack motivation if you need this on your holiday - I didn't. Service in the restaurant very swift and polite by the way.

This hotel is very dated although I have to say it's very clean. There were a lot of rowdy men on stage parties on their balconies at 4.30am being noisy. These men were allowed to run wild through the hotel...the staff seemed intimidated by them and did nothing. I also had the misfortune of seeing two of them naked on their balconies on two occasions. On my last afternoon there was a couple almost having sex on a sunbed..this did amuse the stags in the pool and shut them up for a while. The food is very poor, the choice of hot food is dire. On two occasions other guests asked me what I thought of the food it was that bad. This hotel is a 3 * at best. I would not recommend this hotel if you usually go 4*

Hotel was amazing in every way. As for the room hair dryer in bathroom worked very effectively, air-conditioning worked perfectly and there were a lot of English channels. Breakfasts had a brilliant selection, and service throughout the hotel was excellent at all times.

Fab hotel good staff breakfast good choice very clean rooms done daily & pool area also kept spot on.Would definitely return.Well placed for restaurants bars & marina about five mins walk to beach.😎😎
