Asterias Beach Hotel

Although I've been to the Asterias beach hotel about 30 times, this holiday didn't feel the same and I felt disappointed and let down. My partner is disabled and cant get into any of the pools without a lot of help from myself. Quite surprising when you consider one of the pools is brand new, you would imagine they would automatically have incorporated at least a hand rail to help with entry. ,We asked the customer service manager why there were no safety rails in any of the 3 pools, she promised she would look into this ,and although they have their own service engineers on site and a safety rail could literally have been fitted at very little cost and in quite a short time ,nothing was done despite being asked at the beginning of our two week holiday., This was just one of many things we asked her to no avail. We paid for all inclusive plus package and totally regret doing so. For the few perks you receive it proved to be very expensive and we had to continually chase up little annoying things like tea and coffee in the room. One of the items on the package was a two for one spa treatment plus various discounts in the spa at the hotel. We went to the spa to book our first treatment only to be told in no uncertain terms that the spa would not honour this. After trying to explain that we had paid for this and were entitled and getting no further, we approached the hotel manager, Victor, who had to go to the spa himself to resolve this. Yes, we did get our two for one treatment but it was hardly relaxing after the fiasco trying to get it. Needless to say we didn't go back for our further discounted treatments as we didn't want the stress of it. I was very disappointed to note that the dress code, especially in the evenings, had slipped below standard. It may seem a petty thing but the dress code is stated as you enter the restaurant and in the information you receive from the hotel...how disappointing when you have made the effort only to find others around you in tatty jeans or raggy jogging bottoms and flip flops. All in all. the staff were excellent, friendly and efficient as usual and that is probably the main unchanging character of the hotel which I appreciate. The disabled toilets weren't properly equipped or easy to enter and the staff used them regularly. Jet 2 really need to pursue the facilities for disabled guests to help facilitate an easier holiday for the next person staying there with mobility problems

Love this hotel, clean, super friendly helpful staff, always greeted with a smile I recommed all inclusive. Food was glorious and lots of choices. Next to the crystal clear clean beach. Lots of walking area to explore. The hotel is away from all the hustle and bustle of Agia Napa. Quiet and peaceful but definitely not boring. Totally recommended.

very good experience in all aspects of hotel and location, great food and very friendly staff, beach fantastic and did lots of snorkeling around the rock part of beach, great time. service of staff excellent, bedrooms very very clean and welcoming, best bed ive ever slept in, would recommend to anyone.
