Cavtat
Cavtat, the dreamy harbour town, is conveniently placed for getting around Croatia’s Adriatic coast. The views from this breathtaking town make superb postcard scenes, and historic churches provide a seriously striking backdrop. Be sure to stop by the Old Town for a peek into Cavtat’s past.
Cavtat’s sleepy coastline is a mix of quaint little cafés and pebble beaches. It sits right in the middle of a horseshoe-shaped bay, making the warm swills of the water especially calm for swimming. It’s all linked together by a charming coastal path, which runs through pine woods.
A trip back in time
The town was built in the Middle Ages, on the site of a Roman city. Have a coffee in the town square, and take in 15th-century architecture and Baroque church. Plus you’re just 40 minutes by boat from the fairytale city of Dubrovnik.
Lots of island-hopping
This corner of Croatia is blessed with hundreds of islands. Lokrum, just a boat ride away from Dubrovnik, is a real treat – the Emperor of Mexico once used it as a holiday home, and it’s still inhabited by his peacocks! Think peaceful forests and gorgeous lakes as well as a Benedictine monastery.
Pebbly Cavtat Beach has the best of both worlds. Not only is it in a prime location in the centre of Tiha Bay, it’s bagged a tranquil spot, thanks to a leafy green border that protects it from the bustling...
This Renaissance masterpiece was built in the 15th century and remains one of the area's most beautiful buildings. Enter the side chapel for a look at the polyptych of St Michael, a famous work by Vicko Lovrin...
The stone-white promenade runs along the ocean front from the harbour. Along it are a selection of small shops that sell souvenirs and local specialities. You'll find some vendors selling silk Konavle...
Lovely hotel, staff very friendly, food excellent, rooms modern and clean, Entertainment at night, right by the beach lots of tours to go on , water taxi to Dubrovnik 50m from hotel, definitely recommend

Place is ok for a few days a week at most. The reception is modern and clean but places around the grounds are unloved there are showers not working plugs with exposed wires on walls marks on floor not cleaned etc Some of the staff in the hotel were miserable and the food was very repetitive especially at Breakfast. There was no courtesy rooms was told to shower near the pool and lots of rooms do not have a balcony.

Lovely holiday in Cavtat
07 Oct 2017
Hotel was good for our needs. Food was fine if a little repetitive after a week - though that’s probably the same for most all-inclusives. Food also not particularly hot. Hotel was within easy walking distance of Cavtat, past bars and restaurants. Great sea views, lovely sunsets from the terrace area. Pros: free wi-fi everywhere; all areas of hotel kept very clean; free fridge and air-con in room; plenty of sun beds and parasols whatever the time of day. Cons: no bar, just an open space serving as reception, bar area and meeting space for reps - this meant there was no real atmosphere; no lemonade available on all-inclusive; no courtesy room for late check-outs - we had to leave our room at 11am but didn’t get collected til 8pm so visited hotel albatross for a shower at their gym; 2-tier system for French and non-French guests. Overall, this hotel was good value for money and we had a great time.

Seats in reception area were not comfortable therefore conducive to sitting there in the evening to make good use of the drinks available. French entertainments team overwhelmed the local entertainment team

Very nice hotel, very clean and tidy.
Pools are much smaller than pictured.
However there is the sea, and it is just as accessible as the pools.
Staff are friendly and speak very good English.
Food is really good too.

Newly renovated hotel - very clean. All-inclusive dining didn't do it for us though.

First time going all-inclusive, probably the last. It's not a relaxing way to eat, too hectic at times, and tricky with a little one. There's no small cutlery for little ones either so take your own.
The selection of food however, was good.

Nice hotel, however French guests receive better treatment and have more choice on all inclusive drinks. No diet drinks were available, unless you were diabetic. We had to buy our own from the local shop.

Small room
04 Jul 2017
Room was quite small and had no balcony. There was no assistance on arrival for people who would struggle with luggage. We had to use lift to get to our room but then there were also some stairs to negotiate with the luggage.

Fantastic holiday
12 Jun 2017
This hotel is right on the beach at the end of the road, so no passing traffic to contend with. Beautiful location with a view along the coast to Dubrovnik over which there is usually an amazing sunset
It has recently been refurbished so everything seems clean and well maintained.
We opted for a superior room with balcony and full sea view and it was great to hear the waves lapping on the beach whilst you were in bed. The bed was very comfortable and we also had a 'pillow menu' where you could request 3 different kinds of pillow. The room was smaller than expected but adequate.
The all inclusive meals were buffet style and had a big variety on offer at all meals. The food was constantly replenished so I didn't see anything that looked like it had been languishing there for hours. I enjoyed every meal I had there. The kitchen and dining room staff were very efficient and courteous.
We didn't spend any time around the pool, where much of the entertainment took place as we were more into sea swimming. There were plentyof sun beds and parasols, and also a very useful beach towel service where you paid 100 Khuna for a token from Reception, took it down to the hut next to the water sports centre and got a towel which you could exchange every day for a fresh towel. At the end of your stay, exhange your last towel back for your token and get your 100 Khuna back from Reception.
We took a couple of trips whilst there. One to Montenegro and one to the 3 islands. We went with the cheaper options from ticket booths along the road and regretted it. The boat trip was on a small boat where the picnic lunch was cramped and the boat let in water. The trip to Montenegro was in a mini bus with poor air conditioning, a driver who didn't speak good English or give much information and where I had to write down passsenger information for everyone n the bus to get through border control which took over an hour each way. I would definitely pay the higher price for a more professional trip if I went again. The return boat trips to Dubrovnik are all about 100 khuna and take about 45 minutes each way.

Wonderful Epidaurus

Lovely place - just been fully refurbished. The staff were very friendly and helpful in all areas. Wonderful views and fabulous sunsets. Cavtat centre is a short stroll along the coast where you could quite easily think you were in the Bahamas when sipping cocktails on the edge of the bay.
