Sol Arona Tenerife

Stayed here many years ago and the place has not changed much at all. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy as was the rest of the facilitys. Plenty of food choices, mostly Canarian with english choices. Only three complaints we had were people smoking on the balconys which came into the room, hot food was mainly cold (hence microwave available) and lots of noise from other guest coming back to rooms through the night, hence very little sleep! Certainly will not stay there again.

On arrival which was early entirely our fault we were asked if we would take a smaller room rather than wait for a couple of hours which we did unknown to us there was no air conditioning 😞 the room itself was in need of refurbishing, bed were very hard and uncomfortable also balcony door was ill fitted so heard everything outside, we were bed and breakfast but ended up going out most days as selection was poor and cold. Would not recommend the hotel even though the location is good

Hotel staff were not very welcoming. We stayed all inclusive but it was very confusing if you half board etc. Witnessed bar staff at pool bar telling a man off for mistakingly getting a drink that apparently he wasn't entitled to. Rooms were dated and dirty. Balcony was tiny abd quite unsafe( absolutely no children should go onto them) we were put on 6th floor even though I was under the impression we should have been on floors 1 or 2. No bottled water in room. Plug sockets in strange places, no use at all. Food was boring and inedible. We went out for food after the 1st night.NEVER AGAIN. one positive is the location which was 10mins walk to beach.

The hotel is in a quiet area. Access is good for both disabled and able body customers. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The restaraunt is large and the food is good. Although the dining area is large it can be very busy at certain times, it pays to dine there later rather than earlier. The hotel has a good pool. There is activites for the younger children but none for teenagers.

Everything about the hotel other than the location is terrible the rooms are tiny 1 plug in the room 1 in the bathroom no fridge cleaning is daily although they don’t change the bedding and the bed is solid u may aswell sleep on the floor I wouldn’t return to this hotel staff are rude and miserable definitely in the dinner hall

The hotel had everything I wanted, the room was clean a little dated, enough storage, the balcony was okay for one would have been tight for 2 when using the clothes dryer. The breakfast had a good choice, the first 2 days my place was cleared when I had gone back to the buffet, after mentioning this to the server she ensured that for the rest of the time she checked I had finished, on the second occasion she went and replaced the coffee which I had not finished. This can often be a problem when I travel on my own. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful when I asked for directions. breakfast

Had 10 days here, the queues for sunbeds are awful if your not down at 7.30 you won't get a bed, the kids daytime entertainment was amazing the staff were fantastic and had all ages and adults joining in. Food was very good especially if you went in as it first opened. Rooms were ridiculously hot even with doors and windows open with a ceiling fan. Location was great 2 mins to beach... was good wouldn't feel a need to return

We have stayed in the Venus 4 times so obviously like it The location for us is excellent since my wife is unable to walk very far. It is in a flat location very close to the weekly market and with lots of shops, bars and clubs nearby and the promenade at the bottom of the avenue across the main road where you can also catch buses to other towns The staff are excellent and very helpful on the few occasions we needed it. The rooms are small but very comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space. Our only complaints are the almost see-through bathroom doors and the positions of the electric sockets halfway up the wall over the beds with none near the dressing table. The free wi-fi was very good and fast and the safe was also free which was a nice surprise. The pool bar service was good but not impressed with the cardboard drink containers, a bit floppy. I would take my own plastic containers in future. We went Full Board and found the food to be very good, it does repeat on the second week but that's normal in most places. The nightly entertainment is varied and the ones we watched were pretty good. A great holiday in a great Hotel

We were so impressed with the hotel, the value for money was excellent. The hotel staff were very accommodating to customers & were excellent throughout our stay. The maid came in every day and would thoroughly clean and ensure we had fresh towels & toilet paper. Definitely worth going all inclusive for the food (best part of the hotel) and the pool bar! Had great entertainment at night and the pool was great. A special shout out to Aziz (sorry if spelt wrong) who was one of the bar staff & was amazing during our stay. Only downside was no air conditioning in our rooms (others had them) but keeping the window open a little with the curtain over seemed to do the trick most times. Fab stay!
