Palmeras Garden Apartments

Good location. Relatively quiet. Pool area not too crowded. Didn't use pool bar Accommodation good. Lots of space around units so a good level of privacy. Reasonable choice of restaurants within 10/15 min walk.

This is a lovely 3* star place, but please bear in mind this is just 3*. The rooms are clean but a bit dated, and as we were self-catering, we found the kitchen area rather lacking in appropriate equipment, and with only 1 plug socket for 4 electrical appliances (fortunately my partner had brought a double socket) but we still had to have the toaster in the bathroom and the kettle on the sideboard!). We were also glad we'd brought a decent knife. Don't expect to have anything laid on at all - we had to buy washing up liquid, salt and pepper for starters and it was a couple of days before the fridge got down to temperature, which we put down to no-one having been in the apartment immediately before us. We only got 1 tea-towel for 2 weeks (again, we were glad that we'd brought 2 with us) and we had to pay (1 Euro each) for clean beach towels after 10 days as you only get 1 set even for a 2 week stay. The pool area can get very windy, the sunbeds are very hard wooden affairs that have seen better days, and there aren't enough cushions (horrible sweaty plastic things) to go around. We just sat on the more comfy chairs in the bar area. Each room/apartment has a wooden table and chairs for outside but they're very hard to sit on for too long. However, the gardens here are great, the general service was excellent and we were in a lovely quiet spot, with great access to local amenities, and with loads of on-site car parking. The on-site supermarket is pretty reasonably stocked and the best value I've ever seen in such a shop - at least equivalent to the local Dino supermarket for most things including drinks and snacks. The children's entertainment looked good, and there is a bus to the beach everyday for a small charge.

Very good accommodation, bot way too quiet an area to spend 2 weeks, value for money definitely, but just not enough to do round about the accommodation , rooms very spacious and clean , pool area very good although overall the atmosphere was a bit flat

Very relaxing and comfortable location . Exactly what was ordered and more. Rooms a bit Spartan but what more do you need? Bar good with good bar meals at reasonable prices. Place kept spotless. We will be back again.

Friendly clean and chilled . Would recommend for couples who would like a relaxing and calm holiday experience. We both enjoyed the location because it allowed us to walk to attractions but also gave the option of catching the local bus if we needed to.

The location is good for me because it is a bit out of town. It would not suit everybody as it's a good half hour walk into the centre of Playa Blanca. Having said that cabs are cheap and efficient, all are metered and the fare was never more than 4 euros.The fact that it's out of town means that Palmeras Garden is very quiet both day and night. The pool bar is well run by the staff at Bar Arena downstairs, and food is available from about 9am to 9pm.There is no entertainment, which suits me, but is not everyone's cup of tea. The Arena Bar shows all the main footie games and prices are reasonable (2.50 for a large beer).The pool and gardens are well kept and the staff are efficient and polite.Overall, a good place to chillax.

Basic accommodation but all you need, spotlessly clean, quiet and friendly staff, would definitely recommend it to others. Take your own hairdryer but everything else you need you can either hire or put a deposit on to use.

Stayed in a bungalow. Very basic and dated. Could have been lovely with a bit of thought and investment. Cheap plastic chairs on patio. No toiletries. Limited towel change. Need to pay for hairdryer rental/cushions on loungers in pool area, deposit for tv remote. Grounds lovely.

The apartment was lovely and spacious. The pool was great and pizza and breakfast from the bar area very tasty. We were disappointed to find you had to pay extra for WiFi which we have never experienced in any of our travels before. Reception staff were not as pleasant as we would have liked but the bar staff were excellent.
