Very nice Hotel, helpful staff, good location. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. The food was excellent with a choice for everyone. Would definitely recommend.

We visited this hotel in June 2024. It was clean and comfortable and there was always a good choice of food at each mealtime. The location is in a quiet area however there's a good path just below the hotel where you can walk along to the Marina and beyond - great for exploring if, like us, you enjoy a good walk. The mixture of dining options seemed to cause some confusion amongst guests as to what was/wasn't available to their respective wrist bands. I'm sure it was probably made clear on check-in (we were on All Inclusive so to us it wasn't an issue!) The staff were all really friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile. We would definitely go back to this hotel.

The Hotel was very nice . Our room was ok but would have liked to have been in the main part of the hotel. Cleaning was very good . Staff were very helpful and polite . Drinks were good quality and not too expensive . Bar staff were extremely helpful polite at all times . The hotel was spotless . Entertainment was on the whole very good. A decent walk along the coastal path to the Marina Food was ok but not very hot The hotel facilities were very good . Courtesy bus excellent service to the beach and playa Blanca resort

Hotel is about an hour transfer time from the airport and nice welcome at reception and easy to book it. Nice modern hotel and paid extra for a larger room with sea view and got room 261. Large room and Nice sea view. Sofa bed was already made up and no 2nd bed for our daughter and sofa bed was not comfy. Lovely views from the balcony. Paying for extra room meant access to privilege room down near to the gym. Basically a quiet air conditioned room with snacks in for daytime chill out Large pool with kids pool and found if went through the underground tunnel near to the restaurant it led to daytime kids club and kids pool. Fun pool foam party here once a week Great children's entertainment. Daytime club well run and safe. Special thanks to Irene who worked hard at daytime and evening show. Evening kids entertainment was OK but mainly in French and Italian and not in English as English were the minority. Food was buffet style and OK. Got quite repetitive and we were only there for a week. Alot of fish fishes and catered to other nations tastes than English taste Location is quite isolated. About 15 minute walk to the marina where there was some shops and restaurants and a other 40 mins to playa blanca. It was walkable some days Only downfall was the terrible noisy room Jet2 warned us about renovation work near to the spa where our room was and stated work wouldn't start until 10am and not occur at weekend! The builders were living in the room below us and up at 06:30 for 7am start! Power tools and dragging metal pipes around as total refurbishment of the spa. Didn't pay alot of money to be woken up early every morning and work even went on Sunday despite being told this would not happen. Came home more tired than when we went and not relaxing. No jet2 rep contactable when in resort and awaiting jet2 UK to get in touch with me about issue I raised

The only aspect that lets the hotel down is the food. My wife and I couldn't fault the friendliness, cleanliness and overall standard of this hotel, with this being our first visit to this hotel. Whilst we understand the need to satisfy the food tastes from multiple nationalities, there wasn't a full option to cover a traditional British pallet, particularly for my wife's taste. Typical mix was a roast veal, but this was accompanied by pulses or Mediterranean veg mixtures. The food temperature was warm and not hot as expected and again we assumed this to be for health and safety reasons. The dining room was spotless and fresh food brought out frequently even if there was some remaining.

I don’t think I would go back to this hotel as we were on half board at meal times you could not get water on a evening meal unless you paid for it .I could understand if you wanted a alcohol drink When we departed the hotel we were not even asked if we had had a good stay they only wanted you to sort the bill out for drinks you had whilst you were there Some of the staff were ok but you got no information about trips out from the hotel And if you wanted to ask for information you had to wait at reception whilst they booked in other hotel guest’s sometimes only one on reception

Having stayed at this hotel a few times while visiting family, it is fair to say it is a lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean, attentive staff and comfortable rooms. Food is generally good but can be average

This was our first Christmas away and we loved it. The lead up to Christmas was low key but Christmas Day the hotel excelled themselves with a fabulous Christmas Day Gala evening meal. The hotel is very clean both in the communal areas and bedrooms. Staff very friendly. Pool heated so quite novel having a swim on Christmas morning. Weather was fabulous. We spent Christmas Eve in Playa Dorada listening to live bands...perfect.

The hotel layout is quite hard to get used to. We had a suite which was at the furthest part of the hotel, but to get to it ( on floor 1) you had to get the lift down to level 3 in the main building (reception is on level 4!) then cross the sun terrace to another building and get another lift. The map they gave was pretty useless. We had access to the privilege lounge but it's not on the map and reception don't mention it, we found it in the basement, but there were no opening times posted. You could get wine, coffee, beer etc and snacks in there which was good but it was only topped up sporadically. The pool was heated, apparently, but was still freezing. Entertainment was hit and miss. Food was good with a wide selection. We did get a coffee machine in our room but only four pods and then you have to pay for them and it's didn't work properly anyway.

We returned to the Mirador Papagayo for the second consecutive year and we are already looking forward to next year. The hotel is first class, food, drinks, kids club, entertainment and all in a beautiful setting within Playa Blanca. Every staff member goes out their way to ensure the guests have a stress free holiday. They can’t do enough for you. This hotel was First Class again for our family holiday and we will be back in 2020.
