LABRANDA Hotel Alyssa

We enjoyed our stay in December. The location was fine for us as we like to walk and you are on the coastal path in 5/10 minutes. It's a quieter part of the island but fab view of red mountain. Taxis are easy to order from reception and cost around 5 euros to town centre. Plenty of bars & restaurants there or head to the Rubicon marina which is fantastic for choice and nice places to eat & drink. Flamingo beach is closest and it was lovely white sand and crystal waters. Couple of bars there and shops but nice and chilled. You can continue to walk the coastal path and visit other beaches. The hotel was great for us as not fans of large all inclusive hotels. The bungalows were spacious and nice large balcony area. One criticism would be the sofa bed for comfort because it wasn't great. Fine for a small child but not an adult in my opinion. We went out half board but was impressed with the brands and quality of drinks that we upgraded to All inc at a very reasonable cost. The food selection was nice for a week but not loads & loads of choice. Felt the children's options could have been better. They really made an effort for the Christmas Gala dinner :) Pool area great, loads of loungers. People do save beds around the kids pool though! It was heated so perfect for kids. Nice to have larger pool slightly heated but adult only option was freezing. There was always entertainment in the evening mostly singers. The staff also did quizzes or bingo but it was low key and not on for long. We did some Xmas crafts in the children's centre which were cute. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Would recommend this hotel & location for a very chilled holiday with a nice friendly vibe. Probably say compared to other 4* we've been to this is more 3* plus. If you love big all Inc & a full entertainment program this is definitely not the place for you.

We loved our holiday to the Labranda Alyssa hotel in July. We came as a family of 5-2 adults and 3 kids and it catered for all of us. The hotel itself is not too big, which we found perfect as I hate overcrowded hotels. We could always get a table at the evening in the poolside bar, in the restaurant or a bed at the pool in the day. Staff were friendly. One thing that did impress me, was on arrival the kitchen staff had played up some food for us to enjoy as we came after the evening sessions at the restaurant. After a long trip this was much appreciated. The rooms were clean and as they were pictured online. We were situated near to the pool which was perfect in a 2 bedroom apartment. Great green policy re washing of towels and bedding as we did not need fresh bedding/towels daily. Entertainment guy was brill! He bounced around and kept us smiling the whole time. However, the entertainment brought in from outside left a little to be desired. One younger woman who sang Amy Winehouse and other songs was fab. The entertainment was purely singers which became repetitive and boring so we often ended up sat on our own veranda instead or going off exploring Playa Blanca. Easy to get a bus to Puerto del Carmen and really cheap too. Walking to Playa Blanca took us approx 40mins along the coastal path at a leisurely place. Well worth going to Flamingo Beach as it is beautiful and the nearest shops to the hotel. Overall we’d definitely return again.

The bungalows were spacious, clean, excellent shower, fabulous terraces and with the exception of the beds very comfortable! Fresh free water every day and clean bedding and towels most days. The pizza/pasta station was a godsend and most of the food was ok, breakfast being the best! The only real negative was the pool maintenance carried out in the middle of the day with plumes of dust carried over the loungers, why it couldn't have been completed early or late in the day was absurd especially when most days poolside was empty until 10am!!!!

Lovely and clean. Only issue evening entertainment in pool bar. No where for pre meal drink. Plastic glasses. Short staffed while there,but the ones there were worked very hard and always smiled. Would return though as it suited our needs for a lovely holiday.

we had a lovely week here in february. nice clean comfortable appartment which had everything we needed and good sitting out area. the food was very good, plenty of choice especially at breakfast, we were half board and drink prices were reasonable. all the staff were great, very welcoming and worked very hard to make our stay excellent. bottled water was a little hit and miss and be aware that there are steps off the road with no luggage ramp when the transfer bus drops you off

Great apartments and very clean. Food was good, plenty of choice, choice of drinks not so great if you want to make the most of an all inclusive but adequate for us. Good location, walking distance to a lovely beach and a taxi ride from bigger beaches. Lovely pool , no noisy pool entertainment.

On 2 occasions my group was served raw chicken, both times complained. The 1st occasion the waitress immediately informed the kitchen and the chef checked the chicken and withdrew immediately. 2nd time when my husband bit into the chicken which was only white on the outer layer we felt it was ignored by the hotel staff. We were on all inclusive however aye out for the remaining evenings. The apartments are excellent however the hotel lacks atmosphere. Staff could be very grumpy.

On the whole we found the majority of staff very rude, verging on aggressive & dismissive. The food was very disappointing & at times we found chicken under cooked so we avoided. Children's entertainment was pretty much non existent. The large indoor sports bar wasn't open & considering the Europa League & Champions League final were both on during our visit this was disappointing as we had to leave the complex. We weren't informed of the sports bar not being available prior to our visit. Poolside toilets were closed for a couple of days & also the smaller pool. When the management were asked when they would reopen he just waved his hands around in our face aggressively. A very poor show

hotel was nice. but is not a 4 star standard. food not really good offer and quality . customer service standard -poor. bar - bad quality of drinks and small offer for all inclusive. expect much more for this kind of hotel. place nice and beautiful view! hotel nice and clean.

We were delighted with the accommodation, basically in a semi-detached bungalow with its own patio. The living room was spacious with a comfortable couch; the bathroom had a generous sized and efficient shower but no bath; the bedroom had comfortable adjoining twin beds. The patio was well furnished with sunbeds and table and chairs. There was just one restaurant but it had a good selection of tasty and varied food; we liked the freshly grilled fish for lunch and dinner. There was plenty of choice for all tastes, the deserts were delicious. There was plenty of fresh fruit and salad if you wanted to be good. It was lovely to be able to eat outside overlooking the sea Drinks in the restaurant were fine. The pool bar during the day and the sports bar at night provided good coffee and a good selection of included drinks. The hotel gardens were immaculate and had lots of colourful and interesting plants. The pool area was good and had plenty of sunbeds available. Staff were friendly and helpful and made the stay memorable It was only a short stroll down to the front where you could walk for miles along a level esplanade in either direction.
