Room layout not good for women who need to sit down to do make up or curl their hair. Pool area has more shade than sun. Breakfast food is not presented well and cold by the time you sit down to eat.

We were more than happy with the general standard of the hotel, its location and its state of cleanliness. However, in a spirit of constructive criticism we thought several aspects could be improved. We were all-inclusive, and found the standard of drinks on offer was weak - not too hard to upgrade, we thought, and the wrong way to cost-cut. The food was varied (possibly too varied) and to our taste, rather bland. Up the flavour on fewer items, would be our comment. The entertainment was varied but it might have been nice to see more 'Spanish' content - after all, that's why we are on holiday. The 'admin' for all inclusive cold be simplified - what's the point in having a wristband system if you then repeatedly ask for a room number? Another comments relates to room pricing. We explored the possibility of a room upgrade and found the 'better' room to be the same size and with only a bigger balcony with slightly better aspect. The upgrade fee seemed like a lot to charge for a marginally better offering (so we declined). To end on a positive note, staff extremely helpful and cheery. And, whilst the above may seem like a list of gripes, we were very happy with our holiday indeed but just think that small changes could make big improvements.

Whilst hotel is fine and staff very friendly the food was very disappointing. We were on an all-inclusive package and whilst breakfast was reasonable, lunch seemed to be a mix of left overs from the previous evening. Correct me if I am wrong but Gran Canaria is Spanish so why have pizza and pasta (Italian !!) on the lunch menu EVERY day, what happened to tapas etc? Also the choices at lunch and dinner were not very inspiring. The chef(s) were hopeless at cooking fish leaving it very dry and the skin uncooked. Post xmas saw many of the xmas dinner items being brought out for at least the 2 days after! p.s the soup was great - but I suspect it was made from the previous evenings leftovers.

when we went for dinner there was no sign put on food if its suitable for vegetarian as we both are vegetarian so it will be beneficial to put a simple sign so we can have dinner in secure and comfortable.

The hotel was great just what we expected of a four star hotel . It was clean and modern great room with pool view . We were half board and the breakfast and evening meals were great and to a high standard . The location was rite on the front with a gate at the lower level pool garden . I have trouble walking but it was ideal as I could use the lift from the lower level to get to the top . All the staff were nice and friendly . We would not hesitate to go back again and it was at the rite price .

Returned home on Sunday morning. Had a wonderful holiday at thie Dunamar hotel. The cleanliness,food and overall help from staff was brilliant. The pool arrears are lovely, small terraces with a few sun loungers and pool if you want the peace or a larger pool with lots of sun beds . Met the most amazing friends and my son ended up with a fantastic new friend. Really sad to leave. I would definitely recommend this hotel . We stayed in a deluxe double room which was a decent size for three beds, sea and pool view with a super view of the famous sand dunes.

Just returned from a fantastic two week family holiday from the IFA Dunamar Hotel, the location of the hotel was great, right next to the beach. There were three pools, but the two smaller pools with terraces on different levels were good as they gave you a sense of privacy when sunbathing and there were plenty of sunbeds at most times of the day. We had no complaints about our deluxe double room with pool view on the 12th floor which also gave us a great sea view too, the minibar was a fridge which you could use to store your own drinks in.The guests were mainly couples and families with older children, food was good with plenty of choice and bar staff at night very friendly, we wouldn't hesitate to go back there again in the future.

I stayed for a week in December 2015 and had a great relaxing week. The staff are very attentive and provide a good service. The hotel is ideally located, right on the beach and only 5 minutes walk from the nightlife. The food is amazing as well. Will be returning.
