Drapano Bridge

Drapano Bridge

This 950-metre crossing was built in the 19th century, under British rule. It was constructed to link the small village of Drapano with the island’s capital. There’s a stone obelisk halfway across. Since 2005 the bridge has been pedestrianized, so traffic has to take the longer route round the lagoon.
