Perfect location - near the beach and marina. We enjoyed our stay, the hotel's coffee shop is very nice and great value. Hotel put a complimentary bottle of wine in our room as it was our anniversary, this was a nice touch.

Great hotel. Fantastic location. Staff all helpful. Food could of been a bit better but still ok and the staff in the restaurant couldn’t do enough for you. Read some reviews before we left about noisey golfers however didn’t find them a problem. I appreciate they were on holiday too. Nice to see everyone Enjoying themselves. Whilst we where there they were getting the. Holder s section of the hotel. Staff all looked busy and plenty of things for them to do. Would recommend this hotel to anyone

The hotel was kept very clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. At the end of November there were few guests so we accepted the limited menu, but maybe the menu could be changed sometimes. The food was good, but a little too much pasta with main courses for our liking. The chef always produced a little appetizer in addition to the meal too.We were surprised there seemed to be no ramp to get our suitcases up the steps to the lift, but as no-one told us about one being well hidden away in the corner of the foyer we only discovered this days later.It was good to have 2 proper chairs and a table in the room. There was a small kitchen area with fridge and we could ask for a kettle in the room to make drinks. The main disadvantage was that the lighting was very dim so that it was incredibly difficult to read with that lighting. If there could be some way of brightening the lamps or having a lamp to read by it would be better. The air conditioning seemed to struggle a bit to keep the room to a cool enough temperature for us. The fuse also tripped out once during our stay, and we asked to have the TV volume limit changed due to the very low volume on BBC channel etc. but a member of staff came very promptly to assist. The hotel was comfortable and kept very clean.We enjoyed using the indoor pool and steam room although the changing rooms were very small with no bench but just a stool to sit on or put anything on. A great addition would be, as in many hotels and swimming pools, to be able to spin-dry swimming costumes to make it easier to dry them in the rooms.It's a great location by the beach, near Vilamoura Marina, with long sandy beaches nearby in both directions.We would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant seaside holiday.

The Villa Gale Ampalius has a great position very near to the marina.The rooms are very comfortable We had a superior room that had a wonderful view of the beach and a fully equipped kitchen.the breakfast was very good with something to suit all tastes.We did not use the restaurant on an evening but the buffet looked very appetizing.There is a lovely pool area with plenty sunbeds both round the pool and on a lawned area.The toasted sandwiches at the pool bar are delicious.All the staff we came into contact with did everything they could to make your visit a good experience.

Having stayed at various hotels in vilamoura....i felt that this hotel needs modernising ...also would be nice to eat breakfast outside in the morning .....main reception needs to be bigger as queue to check in taking too long

Great hotel though the decor was a bit tired. That said, we had a fantastic week. Stayed half board and a really good selection of food. Good location and brilliant staff. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Had a good half term week with my husband and daughter. The weather was mixed so glad to have the indoor pool. Great location, a very short walk from the beach, restaurants and bars. The hotel restaurant was good for breakfast.

Hotel room was clean and uncluttered. Tightly packed in the wardrobe though with little drawer space. Shame about the little kitchen squeezed in there and the badly burned worktop. Bathroom clean and spacious. Brilliant views from the balcony overlooking the sea. Pool area nice and clean but a bit pricey for a small beer. Breakfast was a bit same old same old every day but tasty. Would definitely go again and recommend this hotel for anyone. Very clean and easy access to the marina.

This is a very good hotel in a great location and overlooking the beach the staff are very friendly and professional it is just minutes from the marina where there is a great range of shops/bars and restaurants Highly recommended

Excellent hotel across small road from beach. Very helpful staff, great breakfast, nice rooms and a lovely pool...excellent facilites. Would definitely recommend. Local buses about 20 yards away and the marina about 50 yards

Cannot find any fault with this hotel, or the service or cleanliness. The food was excellent with a fabulous choice at breakfast. Staff very friendly and attentive. Our room was lovely with fab views over the beach and sea, we had booked a superior twin which I highly recommend. We had a small kitchenette with fridge etc.

We went here for my husbands 60th birthday with family everything was perfect . the hotel is very clean breckfast verys good staff very helpfuff location perfect for the golf that they played.Also the many restarantsaround the marina

Just home from 4 days at this great hotel. Wish we had booked for a longer stay. We had a side sea view room which had a view of Marina and the sea. Higher floors have best views. Also this is the side that gets the sun in the evening. Great to have proper fridge in room as opposed to usual drinks fridge. Would have liked tea making facilities though. Friendly staff throughout. Perfect location. Will definitely be booking again. Fantastic holiday.
