Included as part of this city break is a tour of the Auschwitz- Birkenau Concentration Camp.
This is your chance to visit this historical memorial and learn all about the events that took place there during World War II.
The tour
UNESCO-listed Auschwitz, which stretches for more than 200 hectares, is a monument to the millions of people who lost their lives during World War II. This sobering tour offers you an insightful and educational experience. Although originally scheduled for demolition, the extensive complex was carefully preserved instead in tribute and offers you the chance to go and pay your respects. During the journey to Auschwitz, you’ll watch a documentary explaining the site’s history. Once you’ve arrived, you’ll then have a guided visit to each of the camps, to witness buildings that housed prisoners, block 11, the ruins of the gas chambers, and the primitive barracks.
