Ponte Scaligero

Ponte Scaligero

The Ponte Scaligero (also called the Ponte di Castel Vecchio) was built in the 1350s in case Verona's rulers needed a quick escape from the fortified castle. It's a special place with beautiful views of the city and the Adige river; cars aren't allowed so it's perfect for a sunset stroll.
