When John Lennon died in 1980, fans in Prague took to the streets to express their sadness. They turned this wall at the Maltese Gardens into a memorial to the iconic singer, covering it with messages, slogans and graffiti. The brightly decorated wall then became a symbol of resistance against the communist regime.
