Dream Bocayna Village

we had a Great 2 weeks holiday. The staff were really lovely especially Lydia in the restaurant . Reception staff were great, any small problems we had were sorted out straight away. 2 lovely beaches just a short walk and shops. Bungalow was very nice and cleaned daily with fresh towels. The food in the restaurant was so nice, different food everyday and a big choice to cater for everyone.. Pool area was nice and sometimes the staff came round with sandwiches or drinks. The jacuzzi was a lot bigger than the photos show. The only thing which we thought it lacked was that there is no evening entertainment apart from the bar music. We would return to this resort.

The hotel and rooms were lovely. We arrived at 10pm and were checked in quickly. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely after a great holiday we went down for lunch as we did not fly home until 10pm that evening to find that our all inclusive had been stopped so over the 7 days we had missed 1 day off meals and drinks. We complained bue told we would have to pay for any drinks or food we wanted. Not very happy.

Not as advertised. We booked this hotel as it's in the luxe collection. For our 25th wedding anniversary, something special.We knew it was a quiet area but from the information given it was not very far from restaurants shops bars etc it clearly is. What is missing from all the pictures are the numerous steps you have to climb. From the pool to our room at the very top there are 56! Not many you think climbing down. There are another 14 to get to breakfast dinner and tea! Then ones to leave the resort so beware if you have mobility issues. If you have allergies you have no chance. No cheese, quesco is never understood. Whilst there a couple were burgled and still left there. The safe being ripped off the wall and everything gone passports, jewellery. I really felt for this older couple I do hope things are sorted for them, but then been right at the back of the open resort with no security cameras etc , you can clearly see it being a target. This then became a scary, lonely out of town place. The bungalow itself was cleaned daily if you wished, beds made,towel, linen change all great. The bungalow had good sea views and with more effort could be great but the good does not out weigh the negative we experienced. You could have the pool all day, pool guy very funny. No atmosphere music unless people are at the bar, there were none but you can ring the bell on the bar to get a drink, have fun waiting, we gave up. One day we did and the bar man was superb, even played the music I requested! Apart from that nothing. Out and about there are 2 supermarkets one down all the steps through an empty hotel that the hotel directs you too but a long way back and another in opposite direction through a village. Visit Paulo's bar very good place and only other bar in vicinity near promenade. Be aware a long walk into Playa Blanca and no one walking on a night. I have never,ever written a review before and felt very determined to give an accurate review. If you are looking for peace and quiet you may like this, it's why we booked it but then this makes the place very vulnerable to thieves. If you arrive late you don't get a proper meal and check out is 12 if you have a late flight home it will cost you 49additional euros

We stayed for a week in early April on all inclusive basis (two adults and a teenager). We had a deluxe two bedroom, two bathroom bungalow in a very peaceful location. Our bungalow was very private. It had a large terrace with plenty of seating and a nice little garden, just right for reading and relaxing with a glass of wine. The bungalow was cleaned every day. As this is a small hotel, I was expecting the choice of food to be more limited than we have been used to in other all inclusives but I was pleasantly surprised at the choice available, especially the salads and the breakfast buffet. Pizza was available at lunch and dinner and additonally, as well as the buffet, in the evening there is a choice from 4 a la carte dishes. The service was very good. We didn't use the swimming pool as the water felt cold and we liked the peace of our terrace but from what I observed there were always plenty of sunbeds free around the pool. The hotel is in a quiet residential location but there are a few shops and bars about 5 minutes walk away down the hill. We do not often return to hotels as we like to see different places, but I would not hesitate to come back to La Bocayna Village. Thank you to all the staff for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable.

All the staff were extra helpful . The food was plentiful and fresh of all the meals. Extra special is the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. The bungalow was roomy with great views over to Fuerteventura. Cleaned every day. Would stay again

An Excellent Chill-Out Hotel.This really was a great holiday. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting but it was exactly what my wife and I needed. We booked a hotel and got a two bedroom bungalow, one double and one twin, a well equipped kitchen/lounge/diner and our own totally private patio running the whole width of the bungalow. The only minor criticism would be is that my wife found the king-sized mattress a bit to firm for her taste and she ended up sleeping in one of the single beds in the twin room most nights.

Quiet hotel ideal for couples but within walking distance to the marina and the main town . Taxi can be booked from reception for 4 euros into town . Accommodation excellent with extra touches of wine and fruit ,attentive staff .

We had a lovely 2 weeks at La Bocayna Village - rooms a bit dated but comfortable. Free safe in room. All staff were friendly and welcoming. You get 4 bottles of wine / bubbly in your room on arrival. We stayed half board - breakfast had more than enough - hot continental breakfast food, cold meats and cheeses, breads, pastries, yogurts, cereals and fruit juices etc. Dinner was buffet starter ( a bit basic) and dessert - I would have liked a bigger choice of cakes - but my daughters loved the 4 ice creams you could choose from. The main meal was made from you - from a choice of 5 - always one veggie, two fish and 2 meats - also a childrens menu (which never changed). One gripe would be there was never a night where all 4 of us were served our main meal together - the kitchen didn't seem to organise meals very well. One day we had about a 15 minute wait for my daughters main meal to be served. A couple of times the restaurant were about 30 minutes late in opening too. Our second week they started to introduce a show cooking chef - roasted piglet, salt baked salmon, cheese board etc. It's definitely not top quality food but you wont starve! The pool was always clean and tidy - you could get daily towels from 11 am - and NEVER had an issue with getting sun loungers - never any reserved towels down. A lot of people would sunbathe on their very large bungalow terrace. Water is cold though! There is a shale beach about 5-10 minutes away - but would recommend walking to Papagayo beaches which are about 20 minutes walk away over cliff paths - lovely little beaches - unspoilt as there are NO shops or hotels near them. There are 2 Hyperdino supermarkets about 5-10 minutes from hotel - which are really reasonable for food, drinks, snacks etc. Rondel Cava was lovely and priced between Eur3 to Eur6 - bargain! The local Rubicon Marina market is on Wednesday and Saturday - and takes about 15 minutes to walk to along the coastal path. Its a nice typical market - and there are some lovely places for lunch and local boutiques. A further 10 minute walk gets you to the busy noisier part of Playa Blanca where you get boats trips, ferries to Fuertuventura and typical British bars and tourist shops. It takes about 30-40 minutes to walk the entire length of the coastal path. La Bocayna is at the very quiet end - there is one little shopping centre 5 minutes away with a good kids playpark, about 10 little shops and a bar and cafe. Nice quiet place.

We stayed here for 1 week on an all inclusive package with Jet2. Our flight was late arriving, so missed dinner the first night, but the staff had prepared plates of food for us and had left them in the bungalow for us which was a lovely touch. The bungalow was spacious, clean and had fabulous views. The food was to a high standard and it was lovely to chose your main meal in the evening and it to be served to you instead of the usual buffet. (starters and desserts were buffet style). The waiters and waitresses were superb, and after the first day, when they saw you arriving for breakfast would have your coffee delivered to your table within minutes. The pool area was beautiful and clean and no-one 'claimed' sunbeds at all. Would certainly return in the future.
