Nice and close to mighty Marmaris, this old fishing village has got buckets of character, with a picture-book seashore to boot. Gentle waves shelve against pebbly patches, while gorgeous wooden boats sit still by the harbour. It’s not just about the Blue Flag greatness in these parts.
Past the curtain of mountains and trees growing the famed local sour oranges, Turunç comes with wowing caves to explore, plus some heavenly Turkish baths – well, when in Rome! You can’t go home without checking these out, but you can keep things simple in the animated bars, too.
Turunc, Dalaman Area
Amos is the next bay along from Turunc and can be reached by road, foot or taxi boat. This small, quiet and unspoilt beach boasts beautiful scenery and clear water, which is perfect for swimming. There is one restaurant here serving food all day as well as showers and changing facilities.

The fishing village of Turunc lies 21 kilometres from Marmaris and is very pretty and peaceful. The main beach here has been awarded a Blue Flag for its cleanliness and crystal clear water, where you can try out some windsurfing. Relax on this beautiful beach where the sunbeds may be free to use if you're having lunch or drinks in one of the beachfront restaurants.
Turunc, Dalaman Area
As with any Turkish village, the Tea Garden in Turunc is a popular haunt for locals and visitors alike. Located on the main street, it is the perfect place to enjoy some shade whilst sipping a cup of apple tea, coffee or a cold beer. Plus the fresh, traditional pancakes are a delicious accompaniment.
