If you’re up for the challenge, you can try all 14 of Calpe’s beaches while you’re in town. Each with its own quirks, you’re in for a sun-kissed treat on these sands. Simply pick your favourite, stretch out, and drink in those glistening Mediterranean scenes.
You can’t hide from the rich history and abundant views reaching all around the resort. There are many authentic features, from limestone rocks to ancient buildings, and you won’t have to stray far to be wowed by typical Spanish elements, plus restaurants serving up something seafood-centred.
Calpe, Costa Blanca
If you like to immerse yourself in the history of an area, then a trip to these Roman ‘baths for queens’ is a must. You can take a guided tour or simply wander around and admire the well-preserved mosaics. The excavations are still taking place, but it’s fascinating to think of how the Romans lived here.
Calpe, Costa Blanca
The long expanse of different stretches of beach here presents lots of options for eating and drinking, from traditional tapas and seafood to popular international dishes. Some of the bars are set right on the sand or rocks lining the beach – and there’s no better place to have drink than right by the seaside.
Calpe, Costa Blanca
The sun-drenched Calas de Calpe boasts 13 kilometres of coastline with crystal-clear waters. The long sandy urban beaches of Arenal-Bol and La Fossa-Levante offer great facilities. And beyond the town you’ll find tranquil bays, small sandy coves and pristine rocky shores by cliffs.
