Popular with tourists and Greeks alike, St Nicholas Beach in the South of Zante is a beautiful bay, with a Greek Orthodox Church perched on a cliff overlooking the sand. Take a trip on a jet-ski or paraglide or learn to scuba dive, as the beach is well-equipped with water sports facilities.

There are lots of little beaches in this area, all with their own attractions. Most have good facilities such as toilets and showers, lifeguards and sun loungers. Many people do water sports at the beaches, or swim out to the interesting rock formations just offshore. Some of the beaches will charge you for sun loungers.

There are lots of fantastic tavernas and restaurants along the main roads and down by the beach. The cuisine ranges from British and Italian to traditional Greek.
