Alykes, Zante
Welcome to a famous golden sand beach with hundreds of sun loungers and parasols. The waters are very shallow and great for swimming. The beach is really popular for the great water sports on offer. Try exploring nearby coves on motorboats, hit the wind paragliding or even rent jet-skis!
Alykes, Zante
After the Second World War the government decided to start producing salt in Alykes. The company in charge, however, was closed down and the region has now become an incredible wildlife reserve filled with exotic birds and creepy crawlies – it’s ideal for a long afternoon walk once the midday heat has passed.

It is built over the Skourtis River and is also known as Pentacmaro Bridge in Greek, which translates at the bridge of five arches. It was built by the English some time in the 15th century.
