Aghios Sostis
A small, picturesque spot less littered with parasols than your typical Zante resorts is waiting, so find yourself a sandy spot and settle down. This postcard-worthy shoreline is a great base for enjoying a bit of turtle-spotting, as well as gorging like a Greek in relaxed waterfront eateries. And Zante Town isn’t far either.
A foodie paradise
Aghios Sostis may be a small resort, but it’s big on flavour. You’ll have your pick of everything from cosy tavernas to minimalist café bars, so all budgets and appetites are covered. Admire the views from a seafront restaurant before sipping a mojito in one of the swanky cocktail bars.
Head to the town
Zante Town is around half an hour away by car, and well worth the drive. As the capital of the island Zante, (known locally as Zákynthos) it is the place to be. Meander the pretty paved streets, explore the museums or simply pick a place in Solomos Square and watch the world go by.

Agios Sostis Beach
Aghios Sostis, Zante
Before you hit the beach, you'll find a pretty promenade you can wander along, with lots of little bars and restaurants. The beach itself is quite small, but has rich golden sands and shallow waters to swim in. The place never gets too crowded though, and has a secluded feel thanks to the surrounding cliffs and pine trees.
Cameo Island Beach Club
Aghios Sostis, Zante
You get to Cameo Island beach club by a rustic footbridge that reaches out over the ocean to the beautiful little island. The bar is right on the beach and is a great spot to enjoy a drink at sunset. This is a popular place to get married, and you may see lovestruck couples being serenaded by local musicians.
Marathonisi
Aghios Sostis, Zante
A short boat trip will get you to the famous island of turtles. There is one small bar here, but otherwise the island is left undeveloped in a bid to protect the species of turtle that come here to lay their eggs. Around the rest of the island are some little coves and caves to explore on foot or go snorkelling in.
