Clear, warm waters make Pefkos’ four perfectly formed beaches ideal for a swim or snorkel. Unwind on the Blue Flag Lee Beach for uninterrupted stretches of fine sand. From here, you’re just moments from a drink at a chilled-out taverna or lunch at a choice of appetising restaurants.
Named after the pine trees that line it, Pefkos was a well-known fishing hub, and you’ll really begin to feel its rustic charm as you explore. Today, the village is a warm, welcoming place to get away to, offering the right balance of eateries, bars and cafés.
Lindos adds a real sense of adventure to holidaying around pretty Pefkos and, what’s more, it’s only 3km away. Founded in the 10th century BC, the picturesque village is a great way to get the kids into history. Try Lindos Acropolis for a real wow factor too.

Pefkos’ Blue Flag beach is one of the nicest in Rhodes. Spend a lazy day sunbathing on the soft golden sand and go swimming or snorkelling in the crystal clear sea. You can hire sunbeds and parasols, and take a boat out into the bay. It can get really hot though, so remember to take plenty of Factor 50.

If you're looking for a quieter beach away from the crowds, Plakia fits the bill perfectly. It's about 10 minutes' walk from Pefkos, with a secluded stretch of sand and warm turquoise waters. You'll find decent seafood restaurants in the area if you're feeling peckish.

Enjoy a boat trip from Pefkos to Lindos on the Glass Bottom Boat. The captain will make you chuckle as he regales you with stories about the sights. The star of the show, though, are the sea creatures you'll see darting under the boat. Don't miss the acropolis and cliffs featured in the film The Guns of Navarone.
