If the idea of a beautiful countryside retreat, with incredible panoramic views and one of the most beautiful sandy beaches in Corfu just a few minutes away appeals, then Villa Mediterranean View could be your perfect villa! The large, totally enclosed garden is the setting for the pool with a shallow childrens section, an extensive terrace for sunbathing, with both shaded and full sun terraces, a double day bed and expansive lawn area, where children can play, including a playground area. Guests will be amazed at the vast outside areas for a villa for only 4 people, but the view will be the feature that leaves you spellbound!... More
Nestled next to the famous Lake Korission, and keeping things minimal with its modest selection of restaurants, Halikounas is great if you’re looking to keep things low key. That being said, you’ll find yourself perfectly placed for a spot of resort hopping, if you decide you want to turn things up a notch.

Beach bliss
The silky sands stretch for over 3km here on Halikounas Beach, and divide the magical Lake Korission from the shimmering sea. There’s plenty of space, so finding the perfect spot to lay your towel shouldn’t be a problem, even when the beach gets busier in high season. It's also great for water sports and surfing.
A gateway to Corfu
The sleepy resort of St George South is around 16km from Halikounas, so if you fancy a change of scenery, head this way. Check out the eastern village of Moraitika too. It’s all whitewashed buildings and amber-coloured roofs, and is great place for souvenir shopping.
The Byzantine Angelokastro Castle, or Castle of Angels, stands on the island’s highest peak 305 metres above sea level. The clear views for miles around from up here helped defend the island against Ottoman attack. It's a bit of a climb, but well worth it for the stunning views and amazing sunsets.
Barbati Beach
Corfu
Barbati is a relaxed beach popular with couples and families in a sheltered bay, a 10-minute walk down from the road. It has sparkling, clear, blue waters and is good for swimming and water sports but bring some water shoes to cross the pebbles. There are plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and nearby places to eat and drink.
Byzantine Museum of Antivouniotissa
Corfu
This museum is set in the former church of the Holy Mother of God Antivouniotissa (Greek for ‘facing the mountain’). It’s the oldest ecclesiastical monument in Corfu, dating back to the 15th century. Inside is a treasure trove of religious art from that era up to the 19th century.
