Wander along rocky alcoves and beside gently rolling serene azure waters – Orašac operates in a dream-like state. There are churches and castles all around, plus walking routes if you want to get out more. But whatever you do, feast like a local on traditional fare and grilled dishes.
Check out the little surrounding villages, head off on a voyage of discovery in the terracotta-finished Dubrovnik Old Town, or take a boat ride around the Elaphiti Islands. There’s really plenty at your fingertips. If you’re around when the festivals are in full swing, the local ones are worth scheduling in.

Catch a ferry from the pier on Hawaii Beach to explore the idyllic Elaphite Islands or join a day trip with Adriatic Explore. Tours start on the picturesque evergreen island of Koločep, and head to historic Šipan, the largest of the islands, before arriving at the stunning sandy beaches of Lopud.

Escape the crowds at Hawaii Beach, a sandy pebbled beach with fantastically clean and clear waters and fantastic views out to the Elaphiti Islands. The beach, a local favourite, is usually deserted in the mornings, and there's a pleasant café and pizzeria for a sunset drink.

Orašac is a small, bucolic village 12km from Dubrovnik overlooking the crystal Adriatic, with narrow streets housing a local restaurant, small bar, and hilltops draped in olive groves. See the Castle Aropovo, the Church of Our Lady of Orašac, or relax at picturesque Hawaii Beach.
