Two sides
Picture clear waters glinting in the sun and luxury yachts bobbing in the breeze. The sedate way of life is infectious but it’s different to the east. Here you’ll find a thin strip of beach caressed by the cool Aegean waters. The after-dark scene boasts plush bars and neon-lit clubs too.
Explore the culture
Bodrum’s rich in culture and history, which is probably why Cevat Şakir, 'The Fisherman of Halicarnassus', made such a fuss about the place in the 60s! The Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Castle of St Peter, which looks over the port, are must-sees.
Discover sandy bays
If sandy beaches are what you want, then the bays of Gumbet and Bitez are perfect. Offering undulating sands shelving into waters, you can find plenty of time to relax in the sun. There are regular ferries across to Kos and Rhodes if you want a true taste of Greek beachfront.
