Pieces of the past
This religious retreat is particularly well known for its 13th-century monastery, La Cartuja. This enchanting building houses various cells, a Chopin museum as a nod to the composer who was believed to stay there, and there’s a palace just by it. Valldemossa is also one for celebratory festivals, so get ready to join in.
Pebbles and Palma
In the resort centre, you’ll find various eateries for local bites, seafood, coffee and cake, plus cobbled walkways to meander around. If you’d prefer to get out and about, hit the pebbly beach nearby or embark on a hike or cycle. You could even one-up this and head to cosmopolitan, cathedral-dominated Palma city during your Balearic holiday!
